One Way Trump Can Get New Deal on Health Care

Of all the silly and inane Donald Trump tweets, a recent one actually made sense and could lead to something constructive.

If a new HealthCare Bill is not approved quickly, BAILOUTS for Insurance Companies and BAILOUTS for Members of Congress will end very soon!

    ! 12:27 PM - Jul 29, 2017

I'm not sure about the insurance companies being punished as they will simply leave the market. However, Congress's "Cadillac" health plans for themselves, their families, and staff, should be fair game for review and risk of loss if they don't start acting like adults. Why, most Americans correctly ask, should we pay taxes and be given ground beef to eat while those prima donnas in Washington get to dine on fillet mignon everyday? Term limits could correct a lot of Congress's inactions and polarization, but that would take a  Constitutional Amendment and that is not quick or easy. A more rapid fix would be to hold all Congressmen and Women and Senators' "feet to the fire". I'd given them like three months and say you either hammer out a way to save and improve Obamacare or come up with a better plan or else you all can started looking on-line for the same crappy silver and gold plans like everyone else.

The men and women on Capital Hill currently get the Federal government to pick up 70% of their health insurance tab. Trump can change all that with the stroke of a pen. I for one, say go for it!!
