So we all know we shouldn't text and drive. Distracted driving is dangerous. But what about these Silver Alerts on the highway. I'm buzzing along at 70 mph and I have to read "Silver Alert-Red Kia-2001, Lic # MGH-568, if seen call *347." Seriously? Like I'm suppose to read and retain this information without driving off of the road?
Picking up my prescription at the pharmacy. He or she says, "Do you have any questions about the medications?" Me (thinking) "Oh, you mean the same one I have been picking up every 30 days for the last six years?" Seriously.
80%+ US population is of the Christian faith and although I am Jewish I get people saying to me "Merry Christmas." But now companies mandate having to say "Happy Holidays" istead to be politically correct and not hurt anyone's feelings? Seriously? I know we have a constitutional right for freedom of religion but where did it say we have a right to be "free FROM religion?"
I shudder at the thought of Donald Trump being GOP nominee. Other than insulting more people and groups than Don Rickles, (sorry if you're too young to remember him-look him up); he has the maturity of a sixth grader lobbing insults at anyone who doesn't agree with him. He also won't admit fault or error when caught in a lie. We already have someone in the White House who does this and we don't need another one.
I like Star Wars as much as the next person but thanks I will wait a month or two to see it. And as far as these box office dollar numbers and records, didn't a movie ticket cost like $5 10 years ago? Seriously.
I heard the students at Yale want to abolish the right of free speech. Seriously? Why don't they just move to China where all thought, speech, and Internet access is censored. The right to speak one's mine, no matter how distasteful to me or anyone else, is the cornerstone of our free society and key part of the Bill of Rights. Seriously? And they got into Yale.
Well I am done ranting. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I'd say Chanukah too buts that's over.
